AnchorPoint Christian School Fills Ten Seats, Three Weeks Before The First Bell
AnchorPoint Christian School
AnchorPoint Christian School is a K-6 Christian school in Wyoming, Michigan, just outside Grand Rapids, sixteen years into its work with local families. Tuition runs on an income-based sliding scale, and class sizes are carefully capped by design.
Industry: Private K-6 Education, Christian School
Location: Wyoming, Michigan
Project Scope: 30-day enrollment activation, website conversion updates, messaging strategy, outreach planning
Solution Provided: With the school year weeks away and 16 seats still open, Deksia built a focused plan around the one essential number. We booked tours, then rebuilt the website and the school's message to get families to that tour as fast as possible. AnchorPoint's own team ran outreach through relationships the school already had and made some new ones.
The Challenge
AnchorPoint had 16 open seats across kindergarten through third grade and only a matter of weeks left before the new school year started. No dedicated marketing team, a donation of $4,000, and a deadline that wasn't moving.
The school's own numbers pointed at the lever. Seven or eight of every ten families who tour AnchorPoint end up enrolling. The problem was never awareness in the abstract: it was tours, roughly one booked per business day for three straight weeks.
The website was working against that goal. "Inquire" routed straight into a full FACTS enrollment application, an odd first ask for a family that hadn't visited yet. Pricing appeared as "$575 per day per year for preschool," a number that doesn't parse for a parent scanning a page on their phone between errands.
The Solution
The website was reframed around one action: a single "Inquire" button on every page leading to a short contact form, with FACTS appearing only after a family said yes. Pricing moved up front in plain terms (free to $8,200 for K-6, preschool at about $6.50 an hour), and Deksia supplied templated follow-up emails for the team to send by hand.
One message ran everywhere: "We only have 16 seats left, and that's intentional: every kid here is known, and no kid gets lost." Promise came first, then proof (capped classes, trained staff, extended hours with meals, income-based tuition). Public language stayed at "kids who've had a hard start."
Outreach leaned on existing relationships: a Meta countdown campaign, a referral ask to the 50 current families, about ten pastors and children's ministry leaders, and four referring organizations.
All of it pointed to the Friday, August 14 open house, with continuous tours, a call table, and a FACTS help desk so enrolling felt like a celebration, not paperwork.
The Results
AnchorPoint filled 10 of its 16 open seats within the 30-day window, though the site and message had to launch first, leaving less than three weeks of actual family-facing outreach. Since the school enrolls mid-year, the remaining seats are still open. It's a familiar bind for small organizations without a marketing team: a hard deadline and outreach that has to run on relationships rather than budget.
"Working with Deksia helped us put words to what we already know about AnchorPoint: children need to be known, cared for, and given a place where they can thrive,"
The team listened to us and helped make our message clearer for new families looking for the right school for their child. They helped us make our website clearer for families and gave us a focused plan for reaching out and inviting them to visit. It was helpful to have someone bring fresh eyes to our enrollment efforts at a time when we needed to move quickly."
