Social Media Coordinator (Part-Time)

Reports to: Content Strategist
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Hours: ~20 hrs/week

Role 1: Content Scheduling & Community Management

Summary Schedule and publish content across platforms while actively managing community engagement on behalf of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and publish content across social media platforms in alignment with content calendars and campaign timelines
  • Assist in maintaining and updating content calendars as directed by the Content Strategist
  • Monitor comments and messages across client accounts and respond or escalate appropriately
  • Represent client brands with consistency and care in all community interactions
  • Keep content libraries and publishing documentation organized and current

Competencies

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and their content formats
  • Strong written communication with an eye for brand voice
  • Reliable follow-through and comfort managing multiple accounts simultaneously

 

Role 2: Content Creation Support & Copywriting

Summary Support the creation of social media content by contributing copy, creative assets, and ideas in collaboration with the Content Strategist.

Responsibilities

  • Write social media copy tailored to platform, brand voice, and audience under the direction of the Content Strategist
  • Contribute content ideas and creative options for review and refinement
  • Assist with the production of content assets including graphic design, caption writing, and short-form videos
  • Apply feedback from the Content Strategist to strengthen content quality and brand alignment

Competencies

  • Solid writing skills with an instinct for what resonates on social
  • Curiosity and willingness to generate ideas
  • Ability to adapt voice and tone across multiple client brands
  • Experience with Canva and CapCut

 

Role 3: Analytics & Performance Tracking

Summary Pull and organize performance data to support the Content Strategist in evaluating content and identifying trends.

Responsibilities

  • Pull in-platform analytics and prepare reporting spreadsheets for review by the Content Strategist
  • Flag notable trends, anomalies, or platform updates that may be relevant to client accounts
  • Maintain organized records of performance data over time

Competencies

  • Attention to detail and comfort working with data
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Curiosity about what the numbers are telling you

 

Role 4: Team Support & Collaboration

Summary Show up as a dependable, communicative member of the content team, supporting client work and contributing to a healthy team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support assigned client accounts within defined scope and direction
  • Communicate proactively with the Content Strategist on task status, ideas, questions, and roadblocks
  • Contribute observations about social media trends and platform updates to team conversations
  • Assist with cross-department needs as capacity allows

Competencies

  • Strong communication and willingness to ask questions
  • Reliable follow-through on assigned tasks
  • Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback
